‘But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect…’ – 1 Peter 3:15
Our reason for believing in and following Christ doesn’t require an eloquent or perfect presentation. A watertight argument is still an argument. And faith will always require faith.
Pointing others to Christ as the only perfect person and why he’s brought you hope is a great place to start. Scripture says, ‘…give the reason for the hope that you have.’ This verse doesn’t say, ‘…give the reason for God.’
God can stand up for himself while we demonstrate his grace in our lives. Share what he’s done and he’ll reveal who he is.
